This blacklist severely impacts email deliverability with major ISPs and enterprise mail servers.

About Spamhaus Zen

The most widely used email blacklist in the world. Spamhaus Zen combines SBL, XBL, and PBL into a single lookup zone used by the vast majority of enterprise mail servers globally.

Why am I listed?

Listings occur for spam sources (SBL), exploited or compromised IPs sending spam (XBL), or IPs that should not send email directly such as ISP dynamic ranges (PBL). The SBL covers known spam operations, while the XBL uses third-party blocklists for exploited systems.

How to get delisted

Follow these steps in order to request removal from Spamhaus Zen.

  1. 1

Visit spamhaus.org/lookup and enter your IP to identify which sub-zone you are listed on.

  2. 2

For SBL: investigate and stop all spam activity from the IP, then submit a removal request explaining corrective actions.

  3. 3

For XBL: clean any malware or compromise on the sending host, then use Spamhaus's self-removal form.

  4. 4

For PBL: contact your ISP to request a static IP, or use Spamhaus's self-service PBL removal if your ISP allows direct email sending.

  5. 5

Monitor after removal to confirm the listing does not return.
